Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:
- Option 1:
  - B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council (INC)-recognized institute/university.
  - OR B.Sc. (Post Certificate)/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC-recognized institute/university.
  - Must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
- Option 2:
  - Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an INC-recognized institute/university.
  - Must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
  - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 years (born on or before January 1, 2007)
- Maximum Age: 40 years (born on or after January 2, 1985)
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms (e.g., for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates). Exact details are in the official notification.

Application Fee

Salary Structure

Pay Scale: Level-7 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400).
Additional allowances (e.g., Dearness Allowance, HRA) as per KGMU and Uttar Pradesh Government rules.

Selection Process

Common Recruitment Test (CRT):
- Format: Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Duration: 2 hours.
- Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer, -1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
- Subjects: Nursing-related topics, General Knowledge, English, Reasoning, and Aptitude (detailed syllabus available on www.kgmu.org).
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  - General/OBC/EWS: 50%
  - SC/ST: 45%
- Normalization may apply if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.
Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the CRT will undergo verification of original documents.
