The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Miniratna Category I Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has announced the recruitment of 135 Apprentices in the Eastern Region, covering states like West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, and Andaman & Nicobar. The positions are contractual and aimed at providing training to Graduate, Diploma, and ITI-qualified candidates in various disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Graduate Apprentices: Candidates must possess a full-time (regular) four-year degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant disciplines (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, etc.) from a recognized university.
    • Diploma Apprentices: Candidates must have a full-time (regular) three-year diploma in Engineering in relevant disciplines from a recognized institution.
    • ITI Trade Apprentices: Candidates must hold an ITI/NCVT certificate in trades such as Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Electrical, Mechanic, or Electronics from a recognized institute.
    • Candidates must have completed their qualifying degree/diploma/ITI after March 31, 2022, to be eligible.
  2. Age Limit (as of May 31, 2025):
    • Maximum Age: 26 years
    • Age Relaxation:
      • SC/ST: 5 years
      • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
      • PwBD: 10 years (where the post is suitable for the disability, supported by a certificate issued on or before May 31, 2025).
      • Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms (typically up to 5 years, depending on service duration).
      • AAI Employees: Up to 10 years for those who have completed probation.
  3. Other Requirements:
    • Candidates must be Indian citizens with a domicile in the Eastern Region (West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, or Andaman & Nicobar).
    • Candidates already undergoing or completed apprenticeship training elsewhere are not eligible.
    • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is desirable, with a minimum standard of 10th/12th-level English.
Monthly Stipend
  • Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 15,000/-
  • Diploma Apprentices: Rs. 12,000/-
  • ITI Trade Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/-
Application Fee
  • No Application Fee is charged for any category.
Selection Process
  • Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their marks in the qualifying examination (Degree/Diploma/ITI).
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview to assess their suitability. The final merit list will be based on interview performance and academic qualifications.
  • Document Verification: Selected candidates must produce original certificates during verification.
  • Medical Fitness: Candidates must meet AAI’s medical fitness standards.
  • No Written Exam: The selection does not involve a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or written examination.
